Sales Manager – Automotive Retail

A growing automotive group is seeking a hands-on Sales Manager to lead a high-volume domestic dealership. This is a confidential search to replace an underperforming manager. The right candidate will be a player-coach who thrives on the floor, works all leads, and drives performance through example.
Responsibilities
• Work all incoming leads and set the pace for the sales team
• Close deals directly while coaching and developing staff
• Drive equity, money, and interest (EMI) performance to maximize gross
• Enforce CRM discipline and digital lead management standards
• Recruit, train, and retain top-performing sales professionals
• Deliver consistent results in unit volume (~110 per month) and CSI scores
• Collaborate with GM and F&I leadership to meet OEM program requirements
Qualifications
• Proven track record as an automotive Sales Manager or Desk Manager
• Strong EMI and finance structuring expertise
• History of leading sales teams and hitting/exceeding volume targets
• Familiarity with OEM stair-step, CSI, and digital compliance programs
• Domestic brand dealership experience preferred
• Hands-on leadership style, visible on the floor daily
• Ability to relocate for the right opportunity (relocation support available)
Compensation
$130,000 – $185,000 annually (base salary plus performance-based incentives). Final package will reflect experience and proven results.
