Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the new and pre-owned vehicle sales departments.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and supervise the sales team.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve monthly and annual sales goals.
- Monitor customer satisfaction scores (CSI) and implement processes to improve the customer experience.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper vehicle mix to meet customer demand.
- Look into marketing to execute campaigns and promotions that drive showroom traffic.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to vehicle sales.
- Collaborate with the finance and service departments to streamline the sales process.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics such as closing ratios, lead conversion, gross profit, and market trends.
- Maintain relationships with manufacturers and ensure dealerships are aligned with OEM programs and expectations.
- Foster a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of automotive sales management experience.
- Proven leadership skills with a successful track record of leading high-performing sales teams.
- Deep understanding of automotive sales operations, inventory management, and the F&I process.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in Dealertrack and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree in business or related field preferred.
