Job Overview
Friendly Auto Group is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our dynamic team in the Sales Manager role. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track of resilience and customer satisfaction. This role requires 3+ years of experience with automotive sales.
Job Description
Duties
- Oversee hiring, training, and development of all salespeople.
- Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional products or services that enhance the customer’s purchase experience.
- Establish annual and monthly goals for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
- Motivate sales team and encourage individual growth and team camaraderie.
- Maintain new and used vehicle inventory by keeping track of available vehicles and ensuring proper display on the lot.
- Follow up with leads through outbound sales efforts via phone calls and emails to nurture relationships and drive sales.
- Stay in tune to all factory-sponsored programs and keep team educated for best possible customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with management team to achieve sales targets and improve overall daily operations.
- Attends managers meetings as requested.
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their vehicle needs through effective questioning and active listening.
- Provide detailed information about vehicle features, specifications, and pricing to assist customers in making informed decisions.
Skills
- Strong phone etiquette to communicate effectively with customers over the phone.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proven upselling abilities to maximize sales opportunities during customer interactions.
- Solid sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry or related fields.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Experience in outbound sales techniques to proactively reach potential customers.
- Familiarity with outside sales strategies for engaging clients beyond the dealership environment.
- Understanding of dealership operations and best practices for enhancing customer experiences.
- Exceptional customer service skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for all clients.
