Automotive Sales Manager
Fairfield's is seeking an experienced Sales Manager. The qualified candidate will have extensive experience in both new and used vehicle sales, finance and insurance, sales training and a proven track record of store management.

Job Description
- Supervises and monitors the performance of the new- and used-vehicle department managers.
- Establish objectives with sales manager, F&I Manager and sales consultants regarding CRM utilization, closing percentage, prospecting efforts, unit sales and projected income.
- Works with General Sales Manager to determine appropriate days’ supply for new and used vehicles and orders/acquires vehicle inventory accordingly.
- Establishes procedures for quick disposal of over-aged vehicles.
- Audits repair orders for used vehicles as needed to ensure prompt reconditioning in agreement with Service Manager and General Manager.
- Meets with the General Sales Manager to review monthly forecasts, commission sheets, productivity reports, and the profit performance of each department as a whole and each salesperson individually.
- Studies local market conditions, demographics, and past sales history. Makes recommendations to the general manager regarding short- and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions, and compensation plans.
- Support other operational units within the store to achieve maximum return on opportunity for the dealership.
Requirements
- At least 5 recent years of proven automotive sales experience, including finance and insurance and at least 3 years in a dealership management position.
- Understanding inventory control
- Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships
