Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring a seamless experience from service request to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive service management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell services effectively.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
Document customer concerns and service requests accurately.
Provide detailed explanations of recommended services, including shocks and struts, air brake systems, and tire services.
Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Manage cash handling transactions with precision and integrity.
Upsell additional services and products based on customer needs and vehicle condition, where appropriate.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history.
Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Must be able to solve problems.

Requirements

Proven experience in auto service management or a similar role within the automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, to include suspension, engines, transmissions, brakes, tires and wheels, and other automotive systems.
Sales experience with a focus on close customer service.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Experience with cash handling procedures is essential.
A background as a mechanic or in automotive service is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
