We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Sales Manager (GSM) to join our team and lead our sales departments. If you are passionate about the automotive industry, have strong leadership skills, and are eager to drive results, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram sales departments to ensure maximum productivity and profitability
- Hire, train, and motivate the sales team to consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals
- Develop and implement targeted sales strategies, promotions, and pricing for each brand
- Build strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and referral business
- Collaborate with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) team to ensure seamless transactions and a smooth buying process
- Monitor and maintain vehicle inventory across all brands, working closely with the GM and manufacturers
- Continuously analyze sales performance and implement strategies to improve results and team effectiveness
- Ensure that all customer interactions reflect Weimer Automotive Group's high standards for service and integrity
- Maintain and improve Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and other performance metrics across all brands
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a General Sales Manager, GSM, or Sales Manager in a high-volume dealership, preferably with experience in Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram
- Proven track record of driving sales performance and achieving monthly and annual targets
- Strong knowledge of CDK, Eleads, vAuto
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on mentoring and coaching sales staff
- In-depth knowledge of automotive sales processes, including CRM/DMS systems (e.g., DealerSocket, VinSolutions, Reynolds & Reynolds)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple brands and sales teams simultaneously
- Ability to adapt to and implement new sales and marketing strategies for diverse automotive brands
