General Sales Manager – Confidential Automotive Dealership
A high-volume, well-established automotive dealership is seeking an experienced and motivated General Sales Manager to lead and drive performance across its New and Pre-Owned vehicle sales departments. Salary range for this position is between $180,000 - $254,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve monthly sales volume and gross profit targets
- Lead, manage, and develop the New and Pre-Owned Sales teams
- Recruit, hire, and coach high-performing sales professionals
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and days’ supply
- Ensure team is well-informed on vehicle inventory, marketing promotions, rebates, and incentives
- Accurately appraise trade-in vehicles and manage used vehicle acquisition strategy
- Collaborate with executive management to forecast sales and control expenses
- Personally support sales staff in customer interactions and closing deals
- Enhance the overall customer experience throughout the purchase process
- Coordinate with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) team to optimize the sales and delivery workflow
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and regulatory requirements
- Promote a customer-centric, team-oriented culture aligned with company values
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as an Automotive General Sales Manager
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with dealership management systems (CDK or similar) is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a performance-based, high-volume environment
- Professional appearance and a strong work ethic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred
