Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced, results-driven General Manager to lead our organization toward continued growth, profitability, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of modern sales strategies—including outside sales, B2B, and high-end retail—and exceptional communication and team-building skills.
This role requires a strategic, forward-thinking operator who can oversee daily dealership operations, drive sales initiatives, meet manufacturer-required CSI standards, achieve monthly franchise objectives, optimize inventory processes, and maintain exceptional customer satisfaction across all departments. The General Manager will play a critical role in shaping the dealership’s culture, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations
- Provide strong leadership across all departments to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant daily operations.
- Create and maintain a high-performance culture centered on accountability, professionalism, and customer focus.
- Ensure the dealership meets and exceeds OEM/Franchise monthly sales, service, and performance objectives.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement strong sales strategies for retail, outbound, and B2B channels.
- Lead the sales team in achieving volume, gross, and OEM targets through coaching on negotiation, closing, upselling, and CRM utilization.
- Optimize the sales pipeline by analyzing performance data and market conditions.
Customer Satisfaction & CSI Performance
- Ensure the dealership consistently meets or exceeds manufacturer CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) standards.
- Implement processes that elevate the customer experience from sales to service.
- Review CSI reports and customer feedback regularly; address deficiencies immediately through training and accountability.
Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory planning, aging, acquisition, and control to ensure ideal stock levels and turn rates.
- Coordinate with franchise/OEM partners, vendors, and auctions to secure inventory aligned with market trends and objectives.
Client & Community Relations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through networking, follow-up, cold calling, and community engagement.
- Represent the dealership professionally at public speaking opportunities, local events, and business functions.
Marketing & Brand Growth
- Partner with marketing teams to enhance dealership visibility, promote campaigns, and strengthen brand presence.
- Ensure marketing efforts align with OEM standards and local market goals.
Team Development & Training
- Recruit, train, and mentor high-performing sales, service, and operational teams.
- Provide ongoing development in areas including retail sales, customer service, compliance, CSI management, and inventory control.
- Create a positive environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a General Manager, GSM, or Senior Sales Leader within a franchise or high-volume automotive environment.
- Strong understanding of OEM/Franchise CSI requirements and monthly performance objectives.
- Demonstrated success in outside sales, B2B, high-line sales, and dealership operations.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of closing high-end deals and improving gross performance.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, inventory management systems, and retail math.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience with building and managing a strong outbound sales pipeline.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a strong plus.
- Proven ability to lead teams toward achieving performance, volume, and CSI goals.

Pay: $64,476.41 - $350,000.00 per year
